Steamed Fish with Sesame and Ginger
Ingredients: (Serves 1)
- 1 piece of White Fish
- 1 spring onion, sliced thinly
- 1 thumb sized piece of ginger, cut into match sticks
- 1 red chilli sliced thinly
- 1tbs soy sauce
- 1tbs sesame oil
- 1tsp rice wine vinegar
- Pinch of sugar
- 1 bok choy cut in quarters
- Coriander to garnish
- Spring onion to garnish
Method:
1. Place the Fish on an oiled plate that will fit into your steamer basket. Top with the spring onion and ginger. In a small bowl mix together the soy, sesame, vinegar and sugar. Pour the dressing over the fish.
2. Heat water in a wok until it steams, place the fish in the steamer basket on top and steam for around 8 minutes depending on the size of the fish, cook until just done in the centre. Carefully remove from the steamer.
3. Place the bok choy into the steamer and steam for 1 minute.
4. Serve the fish on a plate with the bok choy on the side. Pour over the remaining steaming liquid. Ganish with fresh spring onion and coriander.
